Haha sorry dude, wasn't being a jerk, just meant that you weren't missing anything urgent by not being able to open the pdf.

Weather expected to clear in Goulburn on Sunday, should be a great day!

Everything is good at my end, actually it was the fastest load up i've ever had (having the car on the trailer saved me an hour).

Got some gadgets for you to play with tomorrow Stu.

GoPro HD and a RaceLogic PerformanceBox

:D

Well, that was fun!

I think it certainly was! The weather was absolutely perfect for racing :P

The usual smooth running by circuit club! The rumbling of a Ls1 in a yellow 32 going pass - MAD!

Awesome skylines turnout! Made it home in time to watch Underbelly :(

The standard g/box gave way on the last turn on my HOT lap :(

Was on a PB unofficially - Jesson Button eat ur heart out!! :(

yeh thumbs up to the circuit club guys who ran a great day. Weather held up well although a little chilli for the spectators apparently.

mixed day as we had issues early getting on top of the tune, but after finally being able to collect some data we got it very close.

car was suffering from understeer for most of the day, could only get 3 or 4 decent laps per session before the fronts went off.

After finalising the tune the car was making alot more power and the 20 year old lsd started to get tired so getting traction out of the tighter corners like turn 2, the fishhook and the final turn was difficult.

was very happy to rattle off a few 1.08s in the last session with the best being a 1.085.

bit of work too do but alot achieved also.

good to see all the sau guys and girls setting pbs also.

yeah you totally didn't expect the 1.08s hey stu.

i was just knocking on the door of 1.12s with my last time of 1.13.03

Ren set some wicked times!

a fair bit of congestion on the track i found, was very difficult to get a clear run but i definitely got a few in before the end of the day!

Yup another superb CircuitClub day, these guys really know how to organise and operate trackdays.

I was grouped with much nicer (slower) drivers this time round which allowed me to watch ahead instead of my mirrors all day. Was good to actually be able to overtake some cars this time. Managed to equal my PB (1:18) in the first session of the day which was weird because I felt like I was backing off due to slow cars infront the entire session.

The session after I dropped that down 2sec to 1:16 with relative ease, mainly turns 3-4-5-6 up on the hill I think, using heaps less brakes and just using the gears to slow me up.

The 3rd timed session I dropped it another 2sec down to 1:14 which I think once again was gained through the top of the hill and also the turn 1-2 kink/corner.

Apart from 1 bonnet pin coming loose the little beast didnt miss a beat all day. I was also happy with my driving, no locked brakes, didnt go off the track at all or get sideways anywhere for the entire day.

Only got a couple of video's as the battery ran out and I forgot both the chargers and also the quality isnt that great because I had the wrong protective case on it (too much wind and not enough engine noise). Also i've discovered that mounting the camera to my fiberglass isnt a great idea as it shakes and vibrates so much you will get a headache just watching the video.

Got a small list of modifications to do before the SAU July event so bring it on!

I wondered why you were packing up early!

Again, great looking GTR. That R34 with you guys was just a perfect example of a clean, understated weapon. Love it.

What broke in the box exactly? Also what power is it making?

    • Hmm. Yes. I should have been clearer. 1000s for Haltech, for extra headroom. 725s for Nistune. You might even be OK with 640s, but if the possible power ends up much more than 300 rwkW you will run out of headroom on the 640s. That would probably be OK and a signal to not push it to that sort of power with Nistune anyway. At that level you probably do want to be thinking about engine protection functions. Oh, and all of that presumes 98 only, not E85. Well....the 1000s would allow you to run E85 at ~300rwkW territory, again, maybe sort of running out of headroom. Hard to tell with E85 - depends on the tuner as to how rich they like to set it up.
    • Yes.  The only scenario I can imagine when the answer isn't yes, is if you drive like there is highway patrol behind you at all times.  If your car currently runs, enjoy it and keep saving. Better costs more, keep saving until you can budget the better ECU. It's worth it.  Nope. Plenty of us making >300kw on unopened motors. Mine is unopened and makes about 350kw if I turn everything up, its fine (lots of caveats here, how the car will be used/abused, how long you expect the engine to last between rebuilds, how has the engine been maintained prior to coming into your ownership, etc etc).
    • Sorry just wanting to clarify, at this power goal, which should I be going? Also, More info regarding suspension, the rear upper camber arms were used to get the camber back to i believe around -0.5 ~ -1 degree (@ Road and Race in Rydalmere), I forgot the exact figure, but ALOT less camber than what it came originally which was like -2.5degrees. Are the traction arms still recommended? The bilsteins from SydneyKid, they've got 400lb/in fronts & 275/in in the rear, revalved to his specs. Intercooler, I'm just having a look at some on Rakuten.jp and some other japanese sites. Might get something from back there, GReddy, Blitz or HPI, all crossflow. Looking at roughly $450-$500 AUD + shipping... Theres not many choices except that chinese branded Justjap unless you go for blitz return flow. Yeah, only downside with Haltech is the price ahhaha, so expensive, and with all the sensors if I go that route... $$$$$ yeesh. Are headstuds/gaskets needed for <300akw?
    • Haltech fanboi reporting in. Buy the Haltech!
    • You can try shoving a borescope down there to see what's up.
