A Couple Of Rb20det Q's

hi guys, ive got a r32 gts that im going to convert to rb20det, was just wondering about the injector resistor that bolts onto the left front shock tower?(do i need this or does the de loom have one in it that looks different?) can i use my rb20de loom on a det engine? ( do i have to wire in a resistor? ), also is it ok to use a 20de ecu and put a aftermarket det chip it?

The injector resistor is only for low impedence RB26 injectors so if you are running standards you won't need it. Not sure about the loom, engines are quite similar so I don't see why not. No idea about using the 20de ecu, probably worth just buying an RB20DET ecu as you can get them very cheap.

That isnt an injector resistor ballast.

Only the GTR's came with injector resistor ballast.

That silver thing on the shock tower (which looks similar to a gtr resistor ballast) is something different and not related to the injector wiring.

It's a resistor for the fuel pump iirc. Just leave it there or remove and connect the wires.
