i have read that the vic epa requirments say you can't have all these mods done to your car, (2 intake mods, zorst, ebc, etc.)

but in the fine print it says that turbo kits (that include pod's, turbo, gaskets, etc...), that meet ADR are accepted.... do you know of any that are???

(I read about the requirments on this forum, someone post a pic of that looked like a booklet for modifications. )

agree

the boost controller, hiflow cat, loud exhaust, pod kit, shiny cam gears with pretty colours etc will likely get you caught up fitting mods that go against EPA etc. once they identify these, then a full check might pick up different ECU, emissions out of whack, and so on.

its unlikely they would pick OEM turbochargers vs upgraded replacement bolt-ons

be sure to note the new garretts etc would likely be nice and shiny, vs original stockers with 100,000kms on them (dirt, oil etc on the compressor covers) so if you remove the heat shields / shroud etc it may be dead obvious even with replacement bolt ons

i guess you could argu the stockers failed and you have to replace with garrett OEM's

Rob - as with all laws - there are tricks, loopholes and so on for those that chose to spend perhaps a little bit extra time/money on it all.

If you want further details perhaps come along to a Vic Club meeting or something, far easier to talk in person about various things that i'm not going to post over the internet ;)

In essence either way, it's easily possible to get 350-400rwkw and just about go totally undetected and be "back to legal" in less than 30mins
