Oil Pressure Sensor- Is It Just A Reader

Hey guys,

I'm just connecting everything up to my stagea engine in my R33 GTS4 and am having a problem fitting in the oil pressure sensor plug. The plug appears to be to big for the slot. I have got this engine from a wrecker and am thinking he has pulled the standard one off and placed another as it seems impossible to connect. Im just curious if the sensor just goes to the gauge and nothing else and if i can do any harm driving with it unplugged. If it does its not a big deal as i still have the sensor from the de.

Use the sensor to suit your car, it's not ECU/engine dependant as the oil pressure sensor only sends signals to the dash gauge.

P.S. MrMassive, there should be a hex on the underside of the sensor, can't remember what size, I pulled mine off on the weekend but I had two sensors (stock and aftermarket) on a T-piece and they were all different sizes.

The pic is MUCh bigger than 17mm.. I'd guess about 10F

Interesting, my s2 only has an oil light aswell. I'll be putting that sender/gauge off the 30 into the bus soon so cheers for that
