You say u just got new rims, are they decent tyres or no namers..Ive seen people have similar problems and its been el cheapo tyres that lose there sidewall rigidity..Or are just or are just crap..

If possible try a different set of good wheels/tyres, before forking more cash out...

I been chasing a wobble in my ute for ages. I got an alignment but it came back again, guy tried to blame my tyres (no doubt hoping i would buy new ones of him)... and then tried to charge me for a wheel balance a week later (why wasnt this done or checked the first time)...not wanting to throw money at another ripoff mechanic i checked it out myself ..Turns out its the centre bearing on my tailshaft stuffed, makes the whole car vibrate at 110km

But if its through your steering wheel and its not tyres its most probably front end related..ie: bushes bearings

if you told the person at the alignment shop its happened again you think they could have the decency to look around for the problem instead of charging to do the same dodgey job again...

ok lol yeh lens prettty dim, but hey.

Update car is fully insured, so only $400 excess, car is getting fixed, repainted in the front, new bonnet etc;

around $6000 worth to be fixed, will get back this wed i hope.The suspension was the major cause apparently to the shaking and noises, clunks etc; as told to me by fulcrum.

Bad mistake buying the pedders coilover rough ryder suspenion.

My tyres are the yokohama brand, pretty decent, as far as i know, rims, only xhp from bob jane t-mart, 17inch.

Just glad to get the car back soon, don't know if the ride will change though because of the accident.

Thanks for all the advice, yet to see what will happen though after i get the car back :cool:

had similar crap lately myself......dont buy Starfire brand tires (renamed Coopers....and discontinued). dunno why i bought american tires...weren't even the cheapest tires.

all was fine after the alignment, went and got new front tires, and good second hand rears (90% tread). car pulled funny afterwards. swapped the tires front and rear and all fixed....other than i had to get another balance done........no one can get the simplest of jobs right these days it seems.

good rule of thumb, dont buy american road tires, and always asume the balanceing wasnt done right if you have a shake after having work done.

My Starfires are now on the rear.........sooner they burn the better
