I ran the stereo in my car for ages like this. What the person meant, was that using the internal amp in a deck, does technically wear it out faster, so running off external amps is better for them. Most decks though, will last for many years running off the internal, without damage. So run your speakers off the deck for the moment, and when you get the cash together, get yourself a nice 4 channel amp.

As above. You'll get a quite a good sound out of that setup (as long as you dont try to run a sub off the deck too). As long as you dont crank it to the point of distortion you wont have a problem. I've got the same setup (alpine speakers are NICE!!) with a sub. It'll prob bet a different story if you tried 6x9s though... no damage, but the lack in power will be really noticeable if you have the ear for it.
