Just did exactly the same last week.

A lot of people suggest "bedding" it in by running it up to 100kmh then gentle braking down to 10kmh 4-5 times to warm up, then,

doing it harder 5-6 times. You will see smoke. Do not stop the car, keep moving until it has cooled down.

However, the installer that did mine who does racing cars and targa cars, suggested that bedding is not necessary if you drive it hard daily for 400-500 kms before taking it to the track. So that's what I have done. It is biting a lot better now after 350kms. Was a bit spongy at the start.

Good luck.

unless there are specific instructions with the pad I do exactly what maxzugkraft said.

You need to warm the pad enough to burn the delivery coating off (whatever form it takes), then let the pads cool slowly.

generally 4-6 stops from 100 to 20 will do the trick, you have to go until you smell the layer burning off.

then drive slowly and avoid braking for 5 min while everything cools slowly and evenly.

somewhere quite and open of course for safety.

while I have heard of the drive carefully for 500klm idea it sounds less than satisfactory to me, and possibly dangerous if an emergency stop is needed in the meantime.
