I am not sure about the rb20 - but you should only need to unbolt the fuel rail.

Before you do this you should pull the fuel pump fuse from the drivers footwell fusebox and start the car a few times until it doesn't start to clear out the fuel lines. Be prepared for fuel to still go everywhere anyway with rags when you pull the first injector off the rail.

Also make sure you don't get frustrated and damage any of the hoses that connect the fuel lines to the rail - otherwise your car will burn to the ground next time you start it!

on the rb20 you only need to take off the throttle body.

an easier way is to unplug the gray looms at the front of the plenum that are connected to the injectors. i think they are gray on the rb20, just follow the injector loom.

Recently had the fuel rail off mine a couple times.

The easiest way is to pull the throttle body off the plenum and remove the AAC (or IAC?) valve. It is positioned between the 4th and 5th injector. Be careful with the throttle body gasket though as it is easy to damage.

Other way, is leave everything in place, unbolt the rail and lift it up enough to wriggle the injectors out of the rail, then pull it all out. Only problem with this way is it is a bit more difficult getting the rail and injectors back in place.

cheers guys will have a closer look at just taking off the throtle body first then.

so there where still be alot of fuel to come out once ive takin off the rail, will defenatly be prepared for that then a fire is the last thing i need haha

thanks again calv.
