Weird Cling Sound From Driver Side Dash

Hi there,

I've been hearing this metal clinging sound (metal against metal) whenevery I'm driving on a uneven surface (bridges are good example due to those gaps inbetweens). This sound is very distinctive and comes from the driver's side. It should be somewhere around the steering or dash. Does anyone have the same problem?

I remember when I was car hunting, there was a 33gtr that had the same sound only his was a lot louder. The owner didnt know what that was. I'm planning to open the dash up in the new couple of weeks to see if I can find anything. 1 of my friend that opens a garage said he's heard that sound on a couple of R33s before too but he doesnt know what the issue is or nobody ever asked him to resolve it.

This thing doesnt affect any performance just a bit irritating if you know what I mean. Hope someone had the same issue before and found a solution. Thanks in advance.

What if that counterweight was simply coated with some plumber's glue (plasticky stuff) and reinserted back to its holster?
