Hey guys,

Have searched this subject with no luck. I'm chasing a MFD to install into my GTR because I want to monitor all

my cars vitals without the clutter of 6 gauges on the dash.

I have a haltech E11 v2, but dont want to replace my dash with the racepace ones.

I've heard the Japanese brands Greddy ect, dont connect or sync properly with Australian or American ECUs.

Is this correct? So I guess my question is anyone know of any MFDs that I could use??

Or has anyone got MFDs with the Haltech?

Any help much appreciated

Cheers Mick

Anyone using Ask Design or Defi multi function dashs?

I had the defi display unit in my old 32, used it as a speedo and water temp sensor, never got around to it but was going to add oil pressure and oil temp. you can also add exhaust temp, fuel pressure and boost ( i had a seperate defi boost guage)

Its an awesome unit, you can set max values and then it will alarm if it gos over, which you can also get a seperate LED light for, you can customise a few different things, PSI or BAR, kmph or mph, stuff like that.

in general i loved it and wouldnt hesitate to reccomend it, only thing is some might say the display is a bit dated, its just a single colour (brightness adjustable) pixelated display. But this didnt bother me, was still fully siiic

unsure on the costs behind it but HKS CAMP or HKS CAMP v2 is basically this

a full MFD display which you run to your own TV unit in the car

so you can choose the screen even a $150 ebay ching chong LCD display for your car would be prefect

Does anyone know if Jap brand MFDs work on Haltech ECUs?

Cheers

you would probably need to hook it up to the factory sensors or install ones that work with the unit if you use haltech specific ones which i know the older haltechs use to.

What do you want to monitor?

have a look at Ruzic EM Pro II... awsome piece of gear.

Hey XRATED,

I mainly want to monitor oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, voltage and intake temp or exhaust temp.

If the displays can do more than this ill hook them up to.

I just looked the Ruzic EM Pro II and your right that is an awesome piece of gear.

Any idea of cost or suppliers??

Thanks

saw the greddy thing today....looks as cool as it you would think!

I run the Ruzic Engine Monitor in my race car...pm Mountainrunner on here to get hold of one. Excellent piece of kit at a fraction of the cost of similar things, but you will need to know wiring to install it, or get someone to do it

    • Hello everyone, I am from Malta and have recently bought myself a fully stock 1992 Nissan Skyline GTS. It has the RB20DE engine and thus is NA. Unfortunately, not a lot of information can be found online related to the GTS, unlike the information for GTS-T and GTR variants. Apart of the Skyline, I also got a 1984 Porsche 924 2.0l NA and a 2002 Renault Clio 1.5DCi for everyday use. Excited to be apart of the community and perhaps get better information on cars such as the GTS.
    • The fuel pump bracket just slides straight up.  Below is a pic I stole off a site. But basically put hand in for fuel pump, wiggle it all about a bit while pulling up.
    • Went digging Duncan, there's another "item" that sits down under the plenum that the second pipe from the IACV goes down to. I believe that's the one that is apart of the cold start portion, and it then comes back up under the middle of the factory top plenum. I believe you will find it is unneeded on the forward facing plenum on Cheryl.   I just went digging further for some pics on the location of the one way check valve, and found something that confirms my thoughts from the first half of this point. I feel you can just block off that port that is coming down.     I can also confirm, the other line that you were thinking for vacuum that will just need a one way valve put into Cheryl is 100% correct too. The one way valve is normally screwed into the back of the factory inlet plenum.
