Hi all, my name is Chris and i have been meaning to join SAU VIC for a while now and tonight i finallysent off my payment for membership and thought i had better introduce myself.

I own a 1993 S1 R33 which i bought about a year ago now and am absolutely in love with it, i am also buiding an R31 track car (primarily for drift) as that is one of my other passions, i used to spend most of my time filming and taking photo's of the various vicdrift track days and drift australia events but couldnt shake the feeling that i was missing out on all the fun, i'm really looking forward to getting out and doing some track days and other events with all the other SAU members and cant wait!!!!.

Here's a few pics of my baby for those interested.

Cheers -Chris

Hey thanx for the warm welcome guys, my r31 is a series 3 silo, gutted and locked diff, non-turbz(i wanna keep it n/a and see what she'll do), s13 coils and r32 power steering rack, should be some fun when i get the engine sorted but its been on the back burner a bit since i bought the 33, and yeah the camber arms are going into the 33 soon, then its gonna get slapped on its guts, at the moment it looks like a 4WD it sits up so high LOL!!. I bought the car from someone on these forums so yeah its probably the same one you saw for sale.

    • This an R34? It shouldn't matter though - it should be the same as on any of the others, and by "any of the others" I mean R32, because that is the car that I have had the front end apart on about 50 times this year. Sometimes, it is much easier to get the lower shock eye onto that pin when: a) you have the upper shock nuts backed off a few turns so you can wiggle it a bit more freely. When they are tight the bottom of the strut is much harder to move that _leeeetle_ bit you might need it to to win the fight. b) you have the outer bolt(s) from the FUCA out and so you can move the lower pin around freely too. Then, all you have to do is put the upper arm back on when you've got the rest back together, and this is where jacking under the balljoint can help.
    • One question before I make a bigger mess potentially, do I need to undo the nut on the outer ball joint?
    • Hi Lads Anyone have or know where i can find the wiring diagram for the dash cluster of a 2003 V35 Skyline? The G35 one is not the same as the V35 Thank you!
    • Ok will do, I think I originally had 1 bolt off for the sway bar on when I took off the strut but will give this a ago. Thanks Duncan! My sway bar has play also when I move it around, hoping that's the source of my squeaking because I can't find anything wrong elsewhere
    • odd. I thought all the top race teams used them.
