Hey guys,

One of my speakers has started playing up. The sound coming out of it doesn't sound right, and when ever it tries to play low frequencies (even at a low volume) it makes this terrible... burping/farting noise.

Does this mean my speaker is dead, or has a wire just come loose somewhere or something?

Cheers.

Some JVC ones that game with the car.

the word JVC = blown...lol

dump them

JVC stands for junk voice coil and yes if they fart then they stink(prob blown or the tinsel leads are hitting the frames and shorting, cones wasted or burnt voice coils.

some game hey..lol

Yeah, sounds like voice coil to me. I get heaps of people come into work with same problem, JVC is just useless. just put a light amount of pressure on the main speaker while music is playing and if it starts working fine then its the voice coil!. cant really fix that. however if you cant afford a new set then simply turn down the bass on the headunit. If you lived in albany I could give you a new set for nothing, got heaps of stereo junk lying around at home :woot:
