Removing Piggyback Ecu

Hey all.

I have had a look at my Unichip. ANd there are 4 or so wires that are spliced into the factory ECU loom.

Then there is a black wire going straight into the factory plug on th factory ECU....earth?

And also a white wrie doing the same thing?

I think it is a simple case of unsplicing these wires and pulling out the black wire and the white wire?

Does this sound logical or am i wayyyy off and will end up creating more problems?
