hay buddy

i love ur nismo suspension arms

if i could ask where u got it from and the price u paid for all of it i would really appreciate it

pm if u prefer

ive bought and used the nismo arms before. I had the whole set front and rear in my R32 gtr. A little bit pricey for what they are, which is essentially the stock arms painted silver with strengthened nismo bushes. If you must go down this route you are better off just buying the strengthened nismo bushes and have them pushed into your standard arms. there are a few extra tack welds along the standard bracing in some of the arms for that little bit extra reinforcement, but nothing you couldnt do yourself. The great thing about nismo bushes is that they are still rubber which although strengthened, will not be as harsh as a rose joint, but still does offer a slightly better feel than the standard bushes without sacraficing too much comfort. This is a good choice for a street car with no legality issues. If this is not a concern and you head to down to the track every once in a while, i think the ikeya formula arms are hard to beat for direct response and feel, with adjustability for a circuit setup if required. Or alternatively you can dial in a setting that allows for lesser tyre wear on the tyres (especially the rear) for regular road driviing. The The nismo arms, like the standard arms are fixed into a position where it causes excessive wear on the inner rears. Although great for traction when youre giving it some around corners, is not the ideal setup for a road car, especially when youre running an expensive tyre package for daily driving. With adjustable arms, you could dial some or all of this out to give your tyres a more even wear and allowing your them a longer life. The ikea formula arms may be a little more expensive, but for that little extra over the nismo arms, the gains far outweigh the extra cost. Whatever you end up choosing im sure ivan from hi power can help you out! One thing though DO NOT BUY CHINESE ARMS!

Wow impressive build up guys cant wait to see it all finished with the kit etc. I was wondering if you could possibly pm me a rough price as to how much the engine mods + labour were as i would love to have the same or similar mods on my 33gtst.

Good luck with getting the times your are after also.

Where u end up getting the Z-tune guards from?

Need some for my car in the near future.

We are the Australian importer & distributor of Nismo Competition Parts, so luckily, we had a set out the back :)

If you need a set, you can order them through any authorised dealer.

Halfway through the respray. Rear guards have been flared, Z-Tune guards have been modified to match up with the side skirts, the car should be going into the booth today to finish the body.

I can't be certain (due to the angle of the photo) but the rear guards don't look that great  looks like u killed the factory flare line and just went for the bulge look, would of been nicer if it was the same as the GTR rear quarters with the vivid horizontal line

    • Thanks Dose.....    I appreciate it!!
    • I'll probably be putting the shit box back on the dyno again soon, I want to dial in the closed loop boost control properly. I'll have a camera facing the car/motor for fun too. Just note, there are essentially 3x 10AN inlets going into the catch can and 1x going back to the intake pipe. Most of the time the catch can "return" to the sump actually is the crank case breather, pushing air out.
    • I have the R3C with a Nismo slave and by no means does it behave like a stocker, it ain’t THAT bad. On take off just give a bit more throttle than you would say a coppermix and it’s fine. It will not slip though.
    • Okay. Final round of testing done. Got a friend to hook up a fancy scanner to the car and we also ran some compression and leakdown tests, she is healthy.  The MAF was definitely the culprit. So for future reference anyone with similar issues that find this thread. I suggest the following steps, in order of affordability:   Check your spark plugs for any fouling, replace plugs if they are bad or re adjust the gaps making it narrower (0.8mm would be good). Check every coil's resistance with a multimeter. It can be done by probing the IB and G pins on the coil pack. Resistance should be around 1.4 (+/- 0.1) Ohms Check the MAF. If you have Nissan connect or a good scanner with the 14 adapter it should allow you to see the voltage on the MAF reading should be around 1.1 - 1.2V when car is idling. But if you don't, buy a new MAF from Amazon and test, then return it. (For instance, I got a Chinese one for $40 that was reporting 1.3v on idle). If you still have scanner, you can run tests on the injectors to see if they are working, just remember to unplug the fuel pump fuse/relay and have no pressure on the line. Then listen for the noises that the injectors make. Clean/replace injectors as needed. Once you find the issue and fix, order thousands of dollars worth of OEM parts to refresh unrelated things (Optional)   PS: Thanks to the absolute legends of this forum for the responses and help to someone that went a bit over their head. • Ha ha ha, so they stopped the bearings spinning on the one you want, but then decided the crank hub should slip instead 😛   Stick to RB, at least you can work on it yourself. And now it doesn't smell of vapour   Also I still believe there's a chance your new flap doesn't "pop", as even though the engine might breath hard, it has a direct path with no restriction to the inlet, which when on boost should pull a bit of suction for you. If you do get pressure in the catch can id be very intrigued. Time to put a boost gauge on it, and a session at the track, then solid cover your vent and do another session
