Well after much searching and looking for an extremely clean r33 gtr I have bought a rather dirty r32! In my search for a clean r33 I found nothing but a whole lot of overpriced rubbish, both from private and dealers. There are so

e nice ones for reasonable money in Vic but I don't want to go through the hassle of going down and coming back empty handed should the photos lie!

I bought the car from japlink on parramatta rd. I was really impressed with the no bullshit approach to selling. TheY got the car up on a hoist for me, I had a good look and there is no rust (save a tiny patch on the lower right hand sill from continued use of not a jacking point) but otherwise straight and without leaks. Bushes are slightly worn but still serviceable. Compression test was great!

The 20 minute test drive went very well. Everything works. No rattles, squeeks, shakes or noises. Drives straight and brakes straight. It has the original wheels (or replacement original wheels) with new Yokohama rubber. All gauges work, ac is great.

Downsides: the interior is rough. Rips in the drivers seat and marks on console. Carpets look good as do the other seats, hoodlining, etc.

Car hasn't had any accidents though bumpers have been replaced/resprayed. Panel gaps and alignment are great however the are scratches, fading and general averagness in quality.

Upside got it for an absolute steal. Not newbie steal, but genuine steal. $12k :P the mechanicals are good so it's a great basis for a resto! I pick it up on Monday and will post pics then!

Congrats mate thats really cheap i got my r32 gtr for $15700 with a $15 000 motor but needed work and i searched high and low for a 32 or 33 in good night without rust. The one i got has got bugger all rust like acouple hundred bucks and its fixed sort of thing and a acouple of mechanical issues worn bushes, bugger all rego and no tyres extra and it needs a tune no biggy. All up with finishing the motor and rego and cleaning up a few bits and pieces its gonna sett me back $21 000. They are really starting to get hard to find with no rust and mechanically in good nick.

Cheers guys!

I cant wait until the morning when I can pick this car up! I'll post some pics of the car as soon as I give it a wash... The boys at Japlink have been great - however their detailing isnt so good :P

Cant wait to get the car in for a respray... I used to work in the indsutry so will do a windows out jobby on it I think... I hate when cars are sprayed with rubbers in.... Any thoughts on where I can get a new seat of window rubbers? Nissan the best idea?

Was this the one that the owner supposedly owned? The silver one?

I was considering that one too, but I ended up going to Qld to pick up a BNR32 on Saturday too. Paid $10.7k for mine.

Congrats on the buy.

Come up to the Thursday night meet this week. Would love to see another 32 GTR there

yeah it was apparently owned by one of the owners of japlink... car seems in good nick and nothing has cropped up in the past couple of days save the things I already knew.

Cant make it out during the week as I work in Coffs Harbour... Hell of a commute!

The body is in better condition then I can remember. I am in the process of getting myself a new bumper and lip so I can get it off for paint. Anyone know approx costings of new window rubbers?

Cheers,
