Im looking for workshops that have an emphasis on performance/import cars, so who better to ask than fellow skyline owners?

The reason being id like to get a job/career in this industry, as its one of my main passions, problem being, i don't know of many places that do this kind of work, and i only know them by name (croydon racing etc). So was wondering as you have already taken the time to open this thread could you spare 30 secs to post any places you know of that do work on cars like ours? I know this question gets asked alot, im not asking you to find me a job, just any suggestions of workshops that fit the description, and ill do the fun part of rocking up and asking for an apprenticeship :P

I figure once i get a list of acouple i can ask them of similar places/if they know anyone who might be interested. I live in cranebrook at the moment, and i don't mind travelling into the city for the right sort of job.

thanks.

I know some people on here take their cars to Unigroup, which is in Girraween. http://www.unigroup.com.au/Home.html -- The owners name is Yavuz. I've heard nothing but good things so far about this workshop.

Next year when I get some work done I'll most likely go there.

I would steer clear of some names in that list, I've seen terrible tuning performed by some of those names. I had to retune a mate's ET Turbo Pulsar when he brought it to one group in that list. His timing was all over the place and those morons has around 25 degrees adv on full load, no wonder his car was pinging off its tits.

But definately Unigroup, they're awesome!

+1 some of the names on Moonus list are suspect. You couldnt go wrong with Unigroup or Croydon Racing.

only places i would go are:

MRC performance

Unigroup Engineering

had too many bad experiences with a few of the other mentioned workshops.

Both Yavuz (unigroup) and Mark (MRC) spend the time and make sure everything is spot on. they wont try and get the big numbers but place more emphasis on what the car is used for and driveability and both are very thorough
