Exhaust Warning Light

Just a silly question - what does the exhaust warning light on the dash do? (the one that looks like fumes rising from a muffler shape, lights up when you turn the engine over but goes straight out again). Tried a search, not much luck.

It's for the catalytic converter overheating light.

other than malfunction? not a lot, LOL. as iseekool said, lets you know if the cat is overheating, and if the cat is overheating it is generally a sign that your wallet is going to get emptied very shortly, LOL

or....if you have a power fc it flashes to indicate knock and a few other problems

yer i got a pfc and mine was flashing to say my voltage was too low, i had a shitty old battery

yeah PFC does it for injectors at 100% as well, not sure of all the things that flash it though

my powerfc flashes the engine light?

If your confused about that, and have never experienced it................congrats.

yeah no engine check light on 32 series so it uses the cat temp light
