as the title shows my outer tie rod ends are worn so im looking at replacements.

Oem nissan ones are expensive like $200 for the pair.

Did some searching and found that part number pte 926-14 is the aftermarket type which pedders have for $70 a pair and bursons have them in stock for $55 a pair,

before i buy them i rang a reputatble suspension joint who advised he didnt think they would be the right part and advised they have a more expensive item in stock.......

now the part number PTE 926-14 comes up on pedders online as for the r34 gtt , its also the same part number for r33 gtst howver r33 have three different options depending on there series...

Can Anybody clarify if the part will fit a r34 gtt???

i can confirm went ahead and bought these , i just installed these they are exact specs as oem and are only $27 each!.....

I just purchased a pair from TuneAgent for $130.00 for my GTT, I hope these fit!

Once installed, did you notice a considerable difference in the front steering and wobble felt through the steering wheel?

Just to add to this thread. (Hope you all find this useful)

Recently changed my outer tie rod ends on my R34 RWD.

You can use the Honda outer tie rod end part number "53540-SK3-E01". Exact same as PTE926-14.

Don't get ripped off by some sellers claiming that the outer tie rod ends for RWD R34 are exclusive.

The same outer tie rod end will also fit N15 pulsars and A32/33 Maxima (possibly other Nissan models too). It will also fit Rover and some Volvo models too.

Cost me $48.00AUD from eBay. (July 2014)

Thank you this thread was very useful.

I do have a few questions; are the tie rods the same for all four wheels?

And would tie rods from Nissan 300xz 91-95 fit the gtt?

Thread resurrect.

I just got some Transteering TE-926-14 (101mm, made in Taiwan) tie rod ends for my R34 GTT steering rack (front).

Looks like these come with grease nipples, whereas the OEM's are sealed I'm pretty sure.

What's the correct procedure to grease these and what grease should I use?

Thanks guys.

Thread bump anyone know the r34 rear outer tie rod end part number or where to get em? Bursons only have fronts

You may find it easier just to eliminate Hicas completely: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/131671639600

Also to answer my own question from earlier, I ended up buying a grease gun off ebay and used some generic EPL2 grease on the front tie rod ends, seems fine.

Does that mean the hicas lock bar i have in the car is now redundant if i get your kit?

Yep my Hicas bushes were shagged and I still had Hicas, the eliminator kit gets rid of both in one hit.
Easy to install too, except removing the OEM steel sleeved bushing, which is always a pita.

hi guys I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the front tie rod ends for a r34 gtt are the same as the rear as I need rear rack and tie rod ends for the rear. If anyone can show me where to get them that would be very helpful. I also have a hicas lock bar which is confusing to know which rack ends to buy all I can see are rack ends for hicas

The front and rear tie rod ends are not the same.

There are NO rear tie rod ends for non-HICAS cars.  There are no tie rods.  When the subframe is non-HICAS, the tie rods are replaced with "toe control arms" and the connection to the "steering arm" on the knuckle is not a taper ball joint.  It is a simple bush.  So it looks just like any other suspension arm.

So, if you have a lock bar, you still have tie rods.  If you need to replace the tie rod ends then you need to get HICAS (rear) tie rod ends, as there are no other types.

The smart thing to do is to buy a HICAS eliminator kit and freshen all that crap in the best way, selling the lock bar to some P-plater in the process.
