Hi sorry just a quick post for quick replies as i was thinking..

Is it possible to import mitsubishi eclipses as i hear they are not that powerful so i could get insurance on it at least, as skylines are a lot harder at my age

Any info on importing them no flaming please relevant posts only!!!

its RWD and since a few fines parents say i need my own car coz they used to get by without it but now they dont want the risk of me ****ing it up

i agree. It's an import so good luck in finding cheaper insurance.

The Eclipse was built for the US market with limited numbers offered for sale in other countries, but all of them were LHD still.They also havent been aproved for import although it soon might be.

BACKUP: just a thought... have you thought about a Honda Civic coupe?... i've only seen 1 around so they're extremely rare, parts will be easis to chase as it's basically the same set-up as a normal civic... dunno about insurace.... just my 2c.... people: flame it if you like....

Here's the info on the very latast model too... I beleive these one's are aust delivered through mitsubishi, but not 100% sure...

Since 200sx died I think mazda mx5 is the cheapest rwd car. Everything else new is fwd

Does it have to be new??? Try Datsun 240Z (and other) car club for a top notch 240Z, otherwise the usual Trading Post, Unique Car Guide...

But if your after a tidy example that is ready to be enjoyed not restored, then id try getting in contact with the 240Z CAr Club...

Eclipses are horrible! They lose their floorpans pretty easily.

I've driven a few in U.S, you're better off with an FTO.

Eclipses are NOT eligible to be brought in under SEVS.

and they suck.
