Licence Plate Flipper

Have seen a few jap videos, and it would appear that retractable licence plates are quite commonplace among the japanese car hooligans community.

Does anybody have any images of these units or know where one could purchase one of these contraptions. Purely for research purposes only of course.

pull the plug out of your rear number plate bracket, then it should swing up and down manually.. then rig up some sort of actuator rod to push it up in sticky situations

Yeah its a stock thing, Its 2 brackets attached too the chassis and one on the bottom attached too the bar. The one on the bar is unscred and then you lift the plate up so you can take the rear bar off without taking the unber plate off (works a treat if you have locking number plate screws)

Someone was selling a couple on the for sale section here not long ago.

They're for the front plate though I believe, which is useless here because cameras take from the rear haha.

You could most likely use a Remote control servo about $12 only and able to lift 1kg loads about 9v power supply you could get it to work with a resistor.

those ones that flip up are nothing man, i seen ones where its a thick license plate holder and from inside the car u press the button and a white plate will slide down over your plates. pimp!!!
