Hey Guys,

Looking at getting my car re-painted very soon, most of the rubber on my old 89 gtst is far beyond it's use-by date. Obviously it's going to have to be replaced, and I know this stuff usually isn't cheap.

Does anyone know the best place to source/buy this stuff from - to save a little money?

Cheers!

Your front and rear windows can be done with generic rubber trim and can come out looking A1, I just had mine replaced like that, cost me $100 installed (for both, not each).

Quarter windows (in the 2 door) I went to a wrecker and sorted through all of the windows and found the best ones, these cost $300. Trouble with the quarter windows is very few people take the care needed to remove them properly, usually people just 'wire' them out which puts all sorts of dents/cuts in the rubber surround. Even the best I could find aren't perfect. (btw, new ones are more expensive than they're worth).

The rubber trims around the doors can usually be made to look pretty good with some rubber restorer. Obviously this won't get rid of cracks but it does give them back some suppleness.

That's the best I could do with mine anyway (just repainted it).

Hope it helps.
