Old man has one (not the launch interface though) in the Monaro. They are a great shift light and one of my favourite ones, used to sell heaps at Autobarn. Very sleak compared to the huge Autometer ones. Much easier to mount somewhere nicely without looking to tacky. If I were to ever get a shift light it would definetely be a Gizzmo one, probably the new tiny carbon ones.

im not exactly to fussed on the light itself just to see if the launch works because after i read up on it, it also allows flat changing and not falling off boost etc seems like a cheaper option then changing computer to suite.

Have you got the launch control box? Because the shift light is only an interface, you actually need the launch control box to get the launch control working.

There is a video on the GIZZMO page for the launch controller.

As far as the launch control goes, it's just a basic antilag type setup. I have a similar thing setup on my car through the Microtech. Foot flat, induces a missfire, builds maximum boost and limits the rpm to what you set it at. Problem is unless you have extremely grippy tyres, in a RWD it just instantly lights them up (in my case I used to do it while cruising at 60kmh and it would nearly kill me trying to hold it straight). Was fun though.

I just stopped using it because I was to worried about killing the turbo, breaking an oil pump or frying my clutch.

I just installed the rush racing anti lag and its pretty kool!! Im not sure about flat foot shifting but im sure it works as well. Using autometer shift light with tach adapter.

I remember one dude on Nicoclub that installed one and he said it fryed his coil packs?? not really sure.
