Hey all,

The last couple days it's been getting fairly cold in the mornings and i have noticed that my r34 (standard suspension all round) seems to have a really bumpy ride like i have lowered/harder suspension in there. When i come home from work in the arvo or midday it all works fine only in this colder time in the morning. Could this be a sign of the shocks going out or is this just something that happens?

Ride comfort isn't adversely affected just seems bouncy like stuffed shocks would likely ride (at least i think never driven a car with stuffed shocks).

I was going to say we know how oil changes viscosity due to a temperature change (e.g. engine oil) could this be happening in the shocks as well? As the temperature drops it gets thicker and doesn't work as well. Although you would think the engineers at Nissan would have taken that into account. I haven't heard of this happening before though.

Have you had the car in winter before?

Only bought hte car fairly recently so nah haven't. Seems really strange my old s13 had stock shocks and was many years older and they worked fine i guess ill just have to look at the shocks see if i can see leaking or something
