nice pics! got some talent!

Thanks a lot :(

awesome pics

Cheers! :)

nice shoots man very nice keep up the good work

Thanks a lot

A week back i covered a dance performance and it was one of the toughest gigs i have ever done. The change of lighting every second, the fast dance movements, not understanding what the dance meant and the stage being about chest height.. But i had fun which is the main thing and didnt do too bad. What i found was that when i shot with a 70-200L lens, it produced a little less noise at 1600 compared to a 50mm f1.4. Oh and did i mention the people in the front row with digi cams taking shots with flash every 5 seconds.

I hate that; taking pics with people with little point and shoot digital camera's having bursts of flash going off just as i'm about to hit the shutter, happens all the time!

Some really amazing photos in this thread! Very talented.

Thanks a lot, really appreciate it :)

good job man keep it up

Thanks, will do :)

do you use filters or polariser when taking these to bring the contrast or colours, or is it all post production work?

Nice pics, I am very much an amature but I enjoy learning and experimenting with my 40D...

Nice shots mate, looks like your getting HDR down pat!

It's all HDR (High Dynamic Range).

Basically you can take one RAW photo and create a single HDR by adjusting it +/- 1 or 2 stops and then stack them.

OR

Take bracketed shots (3-9 shots at different exposures all a stop apart) and then combine them in photoshop or Photomatix or any HDR compatible program.

Plenty of info out on the web about it

Thanks, I will try that...

Those two blue 34GTR's really look nice with the HDR effect. I think it suits the photo.

By the way, you need to clean your sensor! If it's not your sensor, you need to clean your lenses and/or filters! So much dust spots in the last two photos!

I'm only using a UV filter on it, the contrast/colour work is all post production.

nice shots!, i think the 32GTR ones look best

Thanks :)

These are so nice. Well done!

Thanks!

Great! It's very nice.
