Hey guys,

I'm looking at getting some of these beauties imported for my commuter :3

nismo_lmgt4_bronze.jpg

So I need to find what size is best for my car. It's a 1999 R34 GTT. I'm thinking something that would be good for an R34 GTR as well in case I upgrade or need to sell these seperately.

I know there's all this talk about what width and offset and blah blah blah to get, but was hoping there was some input for race specs? I don't need anything too fancy but something that increases performance on the track would be good. I'm a bit of a noob at rim sizing so any help would be very appreciated.

i would go 18x9.5 front and 18x10.5 rear with the lowest offset u can get and make them fit

dont worry about fitting them to ur next car either just concentrate on ur current ride imo as u never know u may never get that gtr yeah

Good point, although if I sell this car I don't think the average GTT driver is going to be as likely as a GTR driver to pull out the sort of money they are worth. And there's no way I'm selling them with it, too much loss of value.

18s or 19s as well? Stock GTR rims are 18 right?

edit.. maybe not so wide... 9.5 on all or could i go 8's on the front... offset?

I'm fitting 9.5 and 10.5 to mine.

I definitely wouldn't be going 8s on the car. It is way too big for such narrow wheels.

18x9 +30 is GTR34 size so work out how you want them to sit from there

dont worry about that dude, once u buy one set of expesive rims u just keep going lol, u become whats know as a wheel whore hahaha

and when u decide to sell the car sell the rims seperately for sure.

Love those wheels!

yup, stock GTR rims are 18x9 with a +30 offset, they sit real nicely in GT-t guards

Daniel's R34 GTT looks bad ass!

lol

charlie if you're so worried about losing money on rims, you probably shouldn't be shopping for LMGT4s imo

get some r34 gtr rims, they'll fit no worries and still look nice  not that i'm biased or anything lol

Hah!

I would not bother selling the wheels in the first place, they are a keeper!

Yeah well I either won't sell them... or I will..

I don't care how much something costs, but I always take into consideration the resale value. I might get a GTR one day so I want what is good for that car anyway. Don't want to have to buy the same rims twice. It's likely I will sell this car one day. Specs for the GTR is probably the way to go.

i don't think you are quite getting it..

anything you buy for a GTT will look shit on a GTR. if you buy sweet fitment wheels for a GTR it will be a monster job making them fit your GTT.

so as far as i see it, you're in a bit of a bind if you're intent on only buying the one set of wheels :\

Um Ric? I don't know if you're quite getting it... Why do you think I made this thread? To reinstate what I already know? 'Not quite getting it' would only result from bad explainations. Thank you, THANK YOU for finally giving me the 'correct' answer.

I have a GTT with 18x8.5 +35 front and rear wheels ... they fit nicely with no scrubbing whatsoever. Having said that rears could probably go a little wider ie. 18x9.5 +40 or so would look completely flush and probably require no guard rolling at all

I have Starcorp Impuls on my GTT, they are 18x8.5 fronts & 18x9.5 rears unsure of the offset though. Sit quite flush in the rear but fronts could have sat out a bit more (less offset??).

Anyway have a look at Satanics ride to see how they sit on a 34 :)

lol what?

you're asking for rims that will look good on 2 very different cars. sorry but it's just not going to happen.

if you're so all knowing (not to mention snappy), why did you make this thread? :/
