Accident friday night outside Sands hotel, pittwater rd

Does anyone have any information about this accident outside the Sands hotel on Pittwater Rd, Narabeen?

I heard that at just before 11pm a R33 skyline was belting along pittwater rd at high speed, locked the brakes for about 70m and hit and killed a padestrian.

Apparently there were more cars involved driving at high speed and were detained by police at the scene. They didnt like it so i've heard rumours that they complained that they were kept so long.

On my ritual Saturday morning drive along pitwater rd to Maccas at 5:45am this part of the road was blocked by police tape and poilce were directing traffic off pittwater rd an onto a quiet side street adjacent to the beach.

condolences to the family and friends of the person who was hit. All the guys at work were a bit shaken since they were having drinks at the Sands after work on that day.

I hope none of the members of this site were involved.
