You guys probably knew that a few places had test cars, but a workshop in Sydney now has plates for them ready to go. They're a huge improvement on looks over the the V35 sedan, that's for sure. Would make a nice daily!

Kristian,

Are you talking about 370GT version??

Cheers

pretty sure every v36 is a 370 in referance to the engine which is a vq37de twin intake (370) near on the same motor as what is in the 370z or a v35 vq35de (350) same a 350z

If you are referring to the coupes, then yes.

If you are referring to sedans, then no.

The *V36 sedan models in Japan have many engine variants. 250GT (V36), 350GT (PV36)and 370GT (KV36). The latter variant, 370GT aka KV36 as the chassis name was only released in late 2008 while the V36 and PV36 cars were released in early 2006.

Unfortunately not, only the 350GT from what I can gather, the 370 was only released fairly recently.

Yep only the 350Gt at this stage. to be honest I doubt we'll see the 370 sedan here any time soon, as the 350's aren't flying out the doors of the few that have em, so can't really see too many compliance places forking out the cash for the 370's.

On another note though, looking at the US sites, the performance difference between the two is non existent. The 370's have a few extra kw's but they're also heavier and also got a new 7sp auto which isn't apparently as good as the 5sp on the 350's. Another interesting point is all the mags that did long term tests really hated the manual sedans. Clutches were fried after 1 year, and they simply said they got the wrong combo.

Actually, the 370GT sedans shouldnt have any problems with compliance as they are essentially the same engines as the coupes. So any RAW's who wants to apply for the later sedans won't need to do expensive emissions testings. I think they still need to supply new evidence to DOTARS for approval, but won't be as difficult.

yeah value vs performance and spec the 350 V36 sedan is probably a better choice over the 370 V36 sedan. you pay a fair bit more dough for the 3.7 and like nismo said differnece in performance is not stellar and the 5spd auto in the 350 36 is very nice. 7spd is a bit of a wank. plus being a few years older there's lots more 350 v36 sedans to chose from.

and yes they are actually not too bad unlike the V35 sedans which were just about the ugliest cars ever made. god they were (are) awful. no wonder they are now worth bugger all. it was such a shame as the V35 coupes are a great car but the sedans make me feel a bit sick.

I was never a fan of the V35 sedans either. Butt ugly are the kindest words to describe it. BUT what they had well and truly over the coupes was the CVT trannie. That thing is a technological masterpiece, only if it didn't f**k up so much, it would be right up there with all time best gearboxes around.

Yeah, I actually like the look, and will hopefully start searching for one for the wifey in the next week or so. I'm trying to find an Oz delivered car for similar money and similar spec and nothing even comes slightly close. Ooh and 13.8 quarter aint bad either :-)

Have my heart set on white, with the bone interior. Love it, but have so far only seen it in 250 sedans not 350's.

Been checking out cars for a while now and can't seem to find that interior on any Japanese cars. (the pics is obv from a US Infiniti). The JDM bone coloured seats seem to be matched to a light brown dash.

Damn it. I'm going to keep looking though.

*barges into thread and posts inane drivel*

HEY YOO GUISE

chances are - you won't find that on a japanese car - most japanese interiors aren't too "wow" factor...

HOWEVER

there ARE cheap dash kits (~$100) to get the bone coloured accents made up... and - if i say so myself... that black is very reminiscent of an aftermarket job... dyeing interior parts is fairly popular in america - such as this SC300 / soarer posted below

not to segue the thread away from it's purpose too much BUT for your info

I have to give thanks to Ramon who is a leather upholstery/ dye specialist for dyeing the parts for me while I took the pieces out and put them back in the car.

Took us all of yesterday to do it....but the whether was perfect for the job.

in short - he's a normal dude - got a guy to perform the task. and did that two tone conversion in a day - obviously this style of interior isn't "everyone's cup of tea" but i think it looks great, and if anything to the untrained eye / lesser educated person it looks like a factory fit!

depends on how much you wanna play cars with it though - i know that if i spent ~40k on a car i doubt i'd wanna be doing that to it!
