Hi guys,

I just recently bought a new car and dont want to get rid of my old r31. I'm just curious as to what i need to get it into any form of racing whether its grip, drift or even dirt rally. I dont want to be the fastest I just want to have some fun. I also dont have a big budget.

Cheers

I've got the perfect event for you....khanacross!

It is a slow/medium speed race based on grass/dirt.

daewoo has a thread over here about it: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ev...ce-t313298.html

if you want to be more serious (not necessarily more fun....) super sprints are the next place to go. You would need to spend many thousands to get the r31 handling well and running quick on circuits (suspension/brakes/safety gear/engines). Or full circuit racing at 10s to 100s of thousands a year :P

hillclimbs are another relatively cheap way to have fun. as with supersprints you can choose to spend a lot to get the absolute best time or you can just throw it as-is up the hill as quick as it'll go. Dunno what is around melbourne but I would assume there would be a few like collingrove here in SA.

anyway whatever your budget is (ie $1000 or $10,000) you'll probably end up spend all of it and then some more :) enjoy
