aybee:

dont listen to these guys saying they would spend 22k on a gtr instead of your car.

if u spent that little on a gtr, you would most likely be spending a lot more in the end to keep it going.

A car like yours is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it, and by someone offering 18k, it shows that your asking price is not completely unreasonable.

thank you.

ps. i really dont want to see the car go for 18k so im looking for 19k without rwc. (car is in rwc condition, the guy offering 18k is a mechanic and had it on a hoist)

Didn't want to start a debate or arguement because this is a for sale thread but Thumpr what I said was relevant because I was trying to help Aybee make a sale by giving him advice because he wanted offers over $18k and I was simply saying that the chances of someone offering over $18k were pretty slim. I'm not saying spending $22k on a crap/average GTR over an awesome GSTT is a smart decision, but its a decision that a lot of people make just to own and drive a GTR. Most people look and see $22k for a R32 GTST and dismiss, sad but true. Good luck with the sale though didn't want to start controversy.

Can you post updated pics ?

yeah, sorry guys my digi cam has been of action for a while.

have organised for a friend to take the pics tomorrow then email them to me, so should be up by tomorrow afternoon :D

i think people will appreciate this car more when they see the pics.

***edited price to 19k***

drewecrome, seriously man 17500 would only buy you a clean stocker with exhaust, rims and maybe fmic. this things has the works and could pump out ~250-260rwkw. 19 grand, no rwc is the price. and i can organise freight if needed.

just to give everyone an idea of how much highly modified r32s go for and that mine is definetely not over priced.

this is why im not going to accept stupid offers in the 17s.

i have spent a little bit of cash on the car so now the price is:

$19,700 Firm!

changes are:

replaced kakimoto exhaust with HKS Super Dragger

repairing and truing up the manifold

so now the exhaust from engine back is perfect.

Tried to call you but your phone was unavailable.

I'm very interested in this car, have been looking at R32's with exhaust / wheels for around $16000 with the idea of doing work to them. Your car looks VERY attractive.

Can I organise to have a look at it with you, call me on 0421 284 330

Thanks

-Patrick

    • I know you don't want to hear this comment, but I can't not say it.  I just can't see 200kw being worth the time and effort. Its like guys with NA cars, putting in headers/exhaust/tune for a massive 20% jump in power. Great, the slow car is still slow and you're down $10,000.  My vote is leave it NA or price in a gearbox upgrade and shoot for at least 300KW, preferably 350KW+.  Now you have a NC that will try to kill you from time to time and will be exciting to drive
    • Ah yep. The main message I want to pass on is, try not to get scared of ghosts when thinking about knock/knock detection.  What I mean is, healthy engines make noise. Knock is also noise. Your knock sensor and ECU combo are trying to determine bad noise from good noise based on how loud the noise is. The factory knock sensors and ECU are not good at doing this.  Modern ECU's are pretty decent at it, however I'd still say that you would want to verify that if your ECU says it's knock, that you actually listen to it and confirm that it is correct.  Are you familiar with the plex knock monitor?  https://www.plex-tuning.com/products/plex-knock-monitor-v3/ I expect you're the type of person that would be very keen to play with something like this. It is great knock detection and you can pop some headphones on and listen to what's going on.  Knock that you've deliberately induced in low load low RPM areas is not really putting anything at risk and is a great tuning/learning/verification tool.  I just thought this was worth mentioning based on the way you were talking about setting up a base map and the Haltech base map settings. There are better ways to spend your time then chasing ghosts and worrying about detonation in scenarios that it is crazy unlikely to encounter it.  I was also wondering, what ECU are you planning to get? Will it be long til you pick it up?

    • I somehow quoted my post instead of editing it. I regret nothing.
