hey guys i pulled out my throttle body when i got my car and cleaned out some

oil that was there.

then today i had a check up on it and noticed that there was black oil in the piping.

im not sure why this is. should there be any oil there at all.

also the car has fresh oil in the engine, i dont know why this is totally black.

one of my mates said the turbo is on its way. another said im running to much psi.

currently at 10pounds.

here is a pic of where i checked.

It's normal. It is blow by coming through your PCV in most cases. This is why people use oil catch cans and oil-air separators. Don't worry about your turbo, this is not normally a problem at your low boost level. as long as you are regularly changing your oil it will be fine.

IanH - yeah, 0W40 is too thin for a turbo car in most cases.
