R32 GTST: 17" Wheels offset

Is it normal to have 2 different kind of offsets for the front and the rear wheels of a R32 GTST?

I was told to have an offset of +35 for the fronts and +45 for the rears.

Kindly advice.

If possible, can any of you state your offsets and size of wheels that you are having. It would be nice to make a comparison.

with my old 17's i had the following offsets;

front 8inch wide +38

rear 9inch wide +45

Thanks... I just saw your reply with regards to offsets.

Why didn't you have the rears at +38 offset (the same as the front)? Is it because they would actually rub against the wheel arch?

I am contemplating if I should get my 17x9 rears (at +45 offset) changed to +38.
