Hey all i was goin to change my cams in my car and i was wondering if i should use the normal rb26 cover or use a clear cam one . main reason i am asking this is i was wondering if i would get defected with the clear cam as they reveal the cams...

thanks.

are your cams stock or aftermarket?

if they are the full cover and u cant actually touch the cam/timing gear and you cant tell uv got aftermarket stuff then you wont get defected.... its only a cover

they will defect you however if u dont have one or you can touch a moving part, becoz its simply unsafe.

Hell, why not just go the see-through engine... make sure to use clear oil

forget a seethrough engine,

what about a completely see through 370z???

the above statement is not correct.

My statement is a guess based on what I would consider a low risk of attracting a defect, which is not the same things as what you actually asked, but what I have assumed you're actually interested in. My rationale is, clear cover = cosmetic, aftermarket cam gears = engine modification. Lowest risk is keep that standard cover of course, but you know that already.
