cobrAA
Hey guys, Is there a difference between the extremeTSC and the Skylab TSC gtr.uk ? Is it worth putting 250$ more for other tsc? Duncan
the best ones around are from Paul Ruzic (mountainrunner on here). Or a custom setup if you have some genuinely unique requirement like a $500k time attack car. the local ebay ones are $15 of variable resistors that cost $250....steer clear! I have no idea about the skylab ones but I would be very surprised if they did even half of what the Ruzic ones do. cobrAA
Well, I'm a daily-driver seeking for better handling. A 2wd/4wd swith would be great for doing powerslide on a corner ( yeah, you know, when you want to give a ride to a friend lol..) and for drag purpose. I might be tempting to learn how to track my gtr. I have a Ruzic engineering (mountainrunner) one installed, I highly recommend, it only works on corners. In other words no difference for straight-line purposes, which is why I asked about purpose. There is a controller for drag-only, but the majority are for modifying how much front wheel torque during corners. I read about the two you mentioned but didn't find much info about them..... Angus Smart
What are people's thoughts on the Field ETS in comparison? i have the field ets. found it works great. easily adjustable, forwards and cornering dials. i think it be more suited to track but maybe for drag too. i did however buy a ruzic unit to install dew to it having more function. Swiper the Fox
What are people's thoughts on the Field ETS in comparison? in comparison to Ruzic...no competition. would be like matching some loud mouth at the pub against Danny Green. Duncan
The HKS kansai controller is the one that can be used for drag. Other than that and custom made applications like Mark Berry's R34, every other controller bends the signals in the standard ATTESSA computer. But the effectiveness of those controllers is over a wide range. If you want to go bottom of the market just buy a variable resister from jaycar, don't pay that ebay guy $250 for the same thing. I did a BEST OFFER on ebay and I won the extremeTSC for 170$ shipped. For a better 4wd traction and a 2wd-4wd switch it's O.K priced. Beer Baron
seriously, why bother putting up a thread asking advice when you have no intention of taking any of it? everyone who posted here told you they were rubbish and gave you better options. duncan even told you how they worked and what they are made from (and he knows as he used to make his own AWD 'modifier') but you had made your mind up before you started the thread and just hoped someone would post up and tell you they are awesome. you just paid $170 for a $4 toggle switch (the AWD/RWD) a 80c fuse, and about $10 worth of variable resistor to alter the signal between g-sensor and attesa ecu, maybe $10 worth of a pretty case to hold the bits. I don't mean to sound like a prick but it's frustrating when you make a thread and people with knowledge take time to answer your question and you just flatly refuse to listen at all. it's a waste of their time and yours as well. MrStabby
I bought one of the local ebay ones before this thread was created.. so how effective are they? some_cs_student
For everyone's reference I found this page on the GTR canada forums that has pictures of this Skylab TSC. I bought one of the local ebay ones before this thread was created.. so how effective are they? The comments in this thread are making me query whether its even worth installing. Most people who bought the Skylab TSC or ebay one think its good, technologically its vastly inferior to a Ruzic controller, that said most people seem to think the Skylab TSC or similar is better than nothing. If you can get a Ruzic one and have the money then go for it, I did the research and bought one and its great, I haven't played with it much of late in terms of settings but most people who have the Ruzic can attest to the difference it makes. I can't speak for any other controller because I only installed one of course I don't mean to sound like a prick but it's frustrating when you make a thread and people with knowledge take time to answer your question and you just flatly refuse to listen at all. it's a waste of their time and yours as well. I just hope other people who read the thread will benefit from it. The op has made his choice, I can't see why he chose that particular one though... Duncan
yeah I guess the ebay thing is easy, its just that the profit they are making bugs me anyway....every 32 gtr I've ever met needs a controller, even a basic one, so I'm sure he'll be happy with the difference Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/318407-so-many-torque-split-controller/#findComment-5212861 Share on other sites

I like something clean. Where can I buy the cute little box? One time I tried playing with electronic on my car. I end up stalling on the highway! You make it seems like it's a easy job to do. Well, I'm a car detailer, I bet what I think is super easy to buff, you would be scared to burn the paint. Each one has his weakness. 2) All the options mentionned here was MINIMUM 450$. I don't want to put THAT much money on a TSC that I will only use in the street. So, the unit at 150$ seems to be right for me. Luckily for me, the previous owner had fitted both the HKS EDA and the ETC. Hardest part has been finding any info on these, but this may help this guy understand the ATTESSA http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/99794-hks-torqu...o-function.html , Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/318407-so-many-torque-split-controller/#findComment-5217183 Share on other sites
