After finding an Exhaust turbine in my Cat converter I am currently removing the turbos.. Have it down to the oil lines, the prob I have is that the line that runs above the manifolds from front to back (rubber line at the front, into metal, then to the centre junction, then onto the bach of the motor) where there is a Banjo fitting into a block, the nut for the Banjo fitting is not coming loose and is very close to having a good tube spanner start to round it off. So my question is do I need to remove the block it goes into any way, and where does the other end of that line end up, because I am buggered if I can find it... I have has a look through DIYs etc, and have attempted to search, but it came up with an error, and the error was written in french...

It sounds like you're talking about coolant lines, not oil. Photos please. If its that really big one in the center near the cam cover, then yes its a bitch because its hard to hold still, and if you dont you bend the tubes either side. I would use a large socket rather than a tube spanner. I cant recall if you have to undo that big one, but you do need to undo the two flare nuts along the same tubes to right to remove the lot. I had flare nut spanners and still couldnt undo them - they just rounded off, so i cut the tubes close to the flare nut so i could get a socket on them, and therefore had to buy new tubes to replace them. Good luck.

Yeah, bad description on my behalf, it is the flare nut on the right (Back) that I am struggling with, the big one in the centre will def be a socket job if it needs to come undone, so far does seem to be mainly coolant coming out of the hoses, think it might be time to break out the tin snips and cut the hose... Thanks heaps for the help, was close to cutting but thought I better ask here first...

    • Nope. The seal is in the drive. A new cable would just fill up and continue to convey oil to the speedo head. To check if this is what is happening, take the cluster out, dismantle the speedo and have a look. You probably don't even have to dismantle it. If there is oil coming up the cable, the drive into the speedo will be grossly greasy. I had to manually (and delicately) clean the gunk out of my speedo.
    • Thanks for the quick response mate, and I agree Nismo 555s, Z32 and high flow 2871 in OP6 housing (run by PowerFC) would all be "period correct" and should be a simple, reliable and reasonably quick track car.
    • It is normal for a speedo to read 0-10% high (unfortunately), intended by manufacturers and ADRs (although not in this case) to ensure your speedo does not read low if your tyres are worn. Speaking of which, what size tyres do you have on the rear, and what does they tyre placard say you should have? you can use this https://tiresize.com/calculator/ to determine what % difference that is causing Personally, when I buy tyres for a car I buy a size that will bring the speedo back to being more accurate; it if it reads 5% high I buy tyres that are 5% larger diameter. If you had an electronic speed sender like R33 onwards, the other option is to add a speedo adjuster but that won't work in R32. Finally, you  might be able to find a different sized gear for the speedo sender but that will be limited to what already exists (and I don't know what sizes do)
    • OK...so dumb question to check....do the hi beams actually come on when the push the stalk to engage them (keeping in mind your headlight switch must be at ON as well)
    • Nah it factory manual not sure about ratio but it looks like there’s been some work at the rear
