To keep a long story short, City Nissan (Melb) is able to source CVT Oil for our V35 CVT transmissions, being KLE51-00004. However, they need to buy a minimum of 6 x 4L cans - which equates to 3 cars.

The discounted price is $595 per can (and you'll need 2 cans to fully flush the tranny and replace the CVT oil).

Any takers? I just need 2 more V35 owners....

I want to move quickly on this as I've done 60,000kms on my V35.

And, by the way, I also got my belts done for cheap from City Nissan too....So I would strongly suggest you do so (if not already done).

Please PM or SMS me 0403 347 739, we can then arrange for all 3 cars to be done, or all 3 of us to go order the oil. Cheers, Nelson.

this is not including the labour right? just for the oil itself?

any special diagnostic equipment or method to flush and change the oil?

Or any good mechanic could do the job?

Edited by nissan rules

I'd suggest City Nissan (Melb) as this is where I asked for the CVT oil. I don't think it will cost too much for labour.

Rianto also takes his V35 there for service and they are a very "honest" service centre...

Any takers?

yea, i taking my car there too, too bad i've done my oil change last time~

it was pain in the arse just sourcing the fluid

this would be good for any GT8 owner who never or about to due for major service

I don't have a GT8 but I will add some positive feedback for City Nissan in Melbourne. Had my car serviced there and had the belts changed too for a pretty reasonable price. Also they were quite familiar with the V35 which was better than a number of other dealers.

Good luck with getting your other 2 GT8 owners together for the oil change

Went to City Nissan today to change it...........Gosh, drives like a new car....so much for buying an Accord Euro! The V35 is much better; despite being an 02 model....

Costed me $1300 with a 'free' carwash.....happy-as...

Pls note, what I was charge may differ from what you will be charged...pls check with City Nissan if you intend to change your CVT oil...

Sorry guys I am new to this, I bought my V35 January it has done around 75 000 now.

I read in many places that oil does not need to change till 100 000 so I am going to do it at 90 000 just to be safe.

But I am reading here that you guys change the belt alos? I am sure I read online that this CVT has a metal belt and hence there is no need for belt change ! Am I wrong? If so at what KM should it be changed and how much does it cost?

Regards'

The sticker under bonnet seems to suggest 100,000kms as the service interval for the cvt trans.

I have found info from nissan that says they ran there test cars to 120,000kms and the oil was still fine other than a small amount of acids formulating and they could of run much more kms no problem on the same oil.

This cvt doesnt use belts and you best to google extroid cvt so you can get pics to understand it better. Basically unless it stops working properly dont loose to much sleep over it.

If your worried about the oil then change it alteast it gives you peace of mind its been done i guess.

I think what RamiV35 is referring to is the timing belt...There is no timing belt as it's chain-driven=metal belt...That is for the engine mate...

The CVT is for the transmission - where the gears are (or lack thereof as it's a CVT)...

I didn't have to change my CVT oil, but I was considering driving it for 3+ more years...so did it. And now, I just sold it..so wasted $1300...
