I did promise Neil that I would try to make this day...

Turbo is on now

7 weeks to go...

Still need to;

1/ Redesign AFM to Turbo pipe.

2/ Change all fluids/filters

3/ Find and replace gearbox (broken 3rd gear is no good)

4/ Buy some tyres... costly bit

5/ Engine tune

6/ Wheel Alignment

7/ Fit Second seat/harness

8/ Fit Oil Cooler

9/ Repair body damage (good chance this will be left out, lol)

Think that's it... lol, should be easy working 6 days a week... bring on Sunday's!

You know whats funny Dan,,,I won't be there,,,I'll be at Phillip Island. So SAU expects YOU as a driver trainer,,,just no Drift training tiger.

If you have forgotten how to drive straight,,,put Liz in the passenger seat,,,. I rate the girl!!!.

Lol, well I'll see how we go mate, got a fair bit to get done, including some body work. Is there rules against running without a front bar?

drive straight into a paddock that is.

soo. i am thinking of making my exhaust consist of two hotdogs and no large mufflers, should sound pimpin. will bring the large muffler that makes it street legal spec too incase its too loud for the track.

Am thinking of just going down to spectate, if any one in western sydney needs tyres or anything taken down for the day shoot me a pm and ill be happy to help out since there will be uber room in the wagon...

Liz, You're on, we can compare notes while we wait to be pulled from the kitty litter.

This exhaust should be easily legal for the track, I have a Turbo back 3 inch system with no mufflers or hot dogs or cats or anything and it scrapes in for legal. (Also have a 3lt bottom end with lots of torques just like you ) As for on the road to and from the track... could be touch and go, I would guess over if you were tested... however it should be noted that most cat back 3 inch skyline systems fail when correctly tested.

Have a good day and Stay Sidewayz Kidz,

Dan.

PS. Sunday tomorrow and we are off looking for gearboxes...

I'm cruising down to spectate as well, but I'm not sure if I'm taking the LOLvo or cruising down with my sis in her Spazda3. I'm not entering my car because the clutch has been playing up quite a bit since Texi.

+1 Passenger.

If the VL has all its panels at that stage, and a new fuel pump, then I'll load her on the trailer. It will be the slowest car there though, RB30E with an auto and open diff.. Still, no reason not to have a bit of fun before the big build goes ahead.

Plus I'm sure everyone will have a good laugh seeing a commodore out there getting its ass kicked.

You'd be suprised. Last year at OP South someone brought a $200 VP wagon (or similar) along to the track and did considerably better than alot of the Skylines on the day.

Then again, the gearbox was leaking oil and large chunks of metal at the end of the day :)
