Hey everyone,

Up for sale is my R33 S1 Skyline. Has just recently been involved in a hit and run :D

Was meaning to sell the car earlier as I now have a company car but just hadn't come around to it yet.

Overview:

  • 5 Speed Manual
  • RB25DE (non turbo) - perfect for P-platers
  • Gearbox and clutch in good condition - no crunching or slipping
  • 18" 2 piece rims
  • Lowered springs
  • Full 2.5" exhaust system to dual tip - fitted by Bankstown Muffler Fit. Nice deep tone, not been pulled over for it once.
  • Momo Steering Wheel
  • Recently had Harmonic Balancer, Key Ways and Crank Shaft replaced
  • Brand New Century Heavy Duty Battery
  • Rego until 02/2011

- Due to the hit and run, a new front bar and reo will be needed. I have a replacement front bar is 2 tone grey that just needs to be painted so all you need is a reo to fit.

- No damage to the chassis or radiator support from the hit and run and is not on REVS

- Previous damage to drivers side rear quarter has been there since I bought the car.

- Paint is in ok condition, fading on driver side fender and boot.

- Odometer reads "220,000" kms but the car has travelled 168,xxx km before replacing the cluster as the needles stopped moving.

Price: $6k or $5.3k without rego. Also interested with swaps for S13 or 180sx only

Pictures: to come.. I am currently capped and takes ages to upload photos

Contact: Reply to thread, PM or contact 0431 737 515 to organise inspection

Car is located in Sydney, Parramatta area

    • I found the same with Subaru’s.  I own and love the SG9 Forester, after that model 2008+, Subaru threw the ugly stick at all their line up and somehow managed to make them look worse with every succeeding year.  lol
    • It's something we all have to consider as time marches on. Also consider lifted rally MX5 conversion at that point.
    • I should be fine for a few more years, whilst I do have arthritis I also exercise and do mobility training every day to keep as fit and healthy as I can, military life, which is the actual cause of most of my joint issues, has set daily regimes, which I weirdly enjoy I also train alot smarter now, not really focusing on lots strength or puffy muscles, I'm more focused on maintaining what I have for my future older self, I actually train as much mobility now as I do exercising Check out this "simple" drill I have been doing daily prior to training now for a while now, this has worked wonders in my all round mobility
    • I'd say one thing that may make you sell is the same reason the guy with the hard top roof sold his. He got old, and his back was giving him too much grief stopping him getting in and out... Old guy said he was 73! He looked and sounded younger than 73 to me! Or maybe I'm just aligning with old people more...
    • Already looked at a few prior to getting the MX5, really nice car, had all the mod cons, but I wasn't really sold on the new "look" I did miss my 2017 Limited, and I personally prefer the "look" of the older car over the new model, but, when pondering I kept going back looking at MX5's But it was same same for the new ND's, I wasn't sold on the new "look", especially the RF with its weird roof, which only half goes down, like a targa top sort of thing As I stated before, I did look at NC's, but the cars I looked at were PRHT's, but I didn't like their roof line "look" of the PRHT, until I saw the soft top version, (someone on SAU posted a for sale ad for one with a soft top that caught my attention, you can blame them for my choice.....🤣) and.... that old style detachable hard tops were available for them, which keeps the old MX5 more smoother flowing roof line, and the more rounded body style, similar to the NA-NB, to me, the arse end of the ND looks to "modern" Much like how I prefer the NC1 front bar, over the later models How long will I keep this car for is unknown, but currently, there's nothing else out there that "floats my boat" for a small, fun, little "sports car", that I can play with and enjoy looking at and driving But, who knows what the future holds, and going off current new car styling, if I replace it, it will be a older model something something
