Boost Gauge + Water

hey guys

just got a boost gauge and a water gauge given to me for a present think the brand is drift cant remember.. im based in perth and was wondering if anyone could recomend some where i could go to get them installed for cheap..

Anywhere that does turbo conversions. Will cost you about $6000.

$6000!!! are you serious man!!!!! farrkkk thats sooo expensive just for the little gauges that you can mount on your dash????

Well just installing the gauges you could do yourself for free, it's easy as.

$6000 would include the cost of turbocharging your engine so as to actually make a boost gauge useful.

*EDIT* I am assuming your car is non-turbo considering you posted this in the naturally aspirated section...

aw tru , nah sorry man its a non turbo.. i didnt think that i posted it in aspirated section sorry!!! yeah it is a turbo would it still cost as much

Its like an hours labour to install a boost gauge in a Skyline if you know what you are doing. So assume around $90.

Water temp is about the same.

Yeh my advice would be to install it yourself mate. The hardest part is finding a place in the firewall to feed the wires. It's so easy to do, it really isn't worth paying ~$150-$200 to get someone to do it for you

its a turbo.. sorry for posting this in the wrong section!! yeah i have considered doing it myself but just a bit scared, my mate done it to his skyline now all his dash lights are flashing on and off and random times :S but ill read into it some more and if im confident enough then ill do it if not wouldnt mind paying for it to get pro done. thanks heaps for the advice!!

well then make sure you don't let your mate anywhere near your car.

for the water temp gauge you need to make sure you have the temp sender that goes with the gauge. without it it won't work. also you will need an adapter to put it into the radiator hose.

boost gauge is very easy to do. only slightly hard bit is wiring up the lights, but you could always just run all the hose through so the gauge works and then just take it to an auto electrician and them them to sort out the wiring. should only take them a few mins and not cost much at all.

hah yeah man its such a small world so weird seeing you.. they are electrical.. i found this place in wanneroo that will do it there gonna install my fuel pump and he said hell just do the gauges too
