ok i built a new head got it back from the machine shop and needed to get new cam seal (they truff them).

went to nissan to get the new ones the first time they gave me crank seals which i though were wrong.

but they fitted the inlet side but not the exhaust side. the part number was the same as the cam seal and all rb25 engines series 1 2 and stags and even rb20s. the exhaust was smaller. i managed to get a aftermarket one from a bearing and seal shop. has anyone had the same problem???

Thread dig! Ive got a similiar problem. R33 gtst series 2, installed some 256 poncams series 1 cams (tomei say the series 1 cams are for the series 2 GTST) and the inlet vct side cam seal is now too thin in id. So theres quite a gap on the inner hole, the OD is fine, and the exh seal fits fine.. Just been to nissan, all cam seals for every rb motor are identical apparently.. Anyone know whats going on? Do i have the wrong cams or a series 1 head or something?
