Umm.... apart from that they got, Aqua Golf. That ain't too bad.

Aqua what??? Yeah it looks cool but prefer baseball.

I'm looking for accommodation, good gym with a pool/spa/steam room and hook up with anyone into Skylines.

Up the hill, there's mountain bike tracks abound - Woodford to Glenbrrok track has a 22Km stretch downhill

+ Narrowneck Peninula

+ Faulconbridge Pt.

Water?

Rowing on Nepean or Penrith Lakes

Kayak on Nepean

Canoe @ Penrith Lakes = Whitewater

Power boat on Nepean

Penrith has some great restaurants like...

Trevi's (Italian)

Osso's (Contemporary)

Stone Grill

+ those on Riley St

Archery @ Katoomba

Small-bore shooting @ Springwood

Aquatic Centre (heated) at Springwood/Faulconbridge with spa + pool + gym etc

Bushwalks in the Mtns. Everywhere. Best are National Pass walk at Wentworth Falls + Blue Gum Forest & Grand Canyon from Blackheath. Katoomba's not bad either.

Bit too commercial for my liking.

Twisties/hairpins at Hawkesbury Heights. 1 Hour circuit from Penrith > along Castlereagh Rd > left at Springwood Rd > Hawkesbury Heights > Hawkesbury Rd > left ont Gt Western Hwy at Springwood > Penrith.

and...

My cousin works as a personal trainer at a gym there - not sure what facilities there are, but I *think* it's one of the bigger gyms in the area.

Don't forget "Stir Crazy" at the Plaza - a good, cheap feed there!

Oh yeah, I'll have to get out to the Joan Sutherland Theatre for photos one night...

It's full of mostly lower/working class white people. You'll see mostly holden/fords to be honest.

It's changing, slowly, as lots more people are moving away from the denser areas of the Sydney metro areas.

I disagree. I don't think people are going THAT far out. 3-4 years ago people flocked to Kellyville, now people are just going a little bit further to Rouse Hill. Glenwood is also a popular suburb that is continuing to expand. That's just my own personal opinion and observations anyway.

Of course if you still couldn't afford a place in one of those suburbs, you might be forced to go somewhere like Penrith. However without exaggerating one bit, I'd rather kill myself.

Wow, I just love Hills people. All snobbery, no class.

Penrith's fine. And there are Japanese imports aplenty. Have been for about five years now. Probably since the last time the Hillsong mob slummed it down there on missionary work. Hallellulah!

You have a great day now.

I've lived around and In Penrith since I moved to Sydney. I wouldn't pay much attention to RBDouche25. He's probably driven through the riff once or twice and just heard all the jokes that one makes about the suburb to their west. (We even do it to Mountain People :) )

Penrith's great. There's a fair amount of stuff to do, the people are friendly enough, you don't often have to deal with shit traffic if you need to get somewhere, there's a great car scene (thursday nights), decent night life, nice scenery (river, glenbrook park + mountains).

Penrith YMCA is a great gym. it's $26 a fortnight and packed full of great equipment and there's almost 0 knobheads who go there.

As you can see from the lists above there's plenty to do and it's a nice area.

Only drawbacks of Penrith... It's an effort to pull an all nighter in city due to transport (unless u get a hotel) and... By the time you drive an hour to beach in your air con car you don't feel like going to the beach :whistling: ) They're seriously the only 2 negetives I can think of.

If you want more info or details about stuff, send me a message. Glad to help. WOW!! RB was right... We're not to friendly out here are we :)

I think you know what option we'd prefer too :):whistling:

Thanks guys for the feedback. I sense there would be more enthusiasts closer to Sydney than out, but if you are planning any blue mountain run then bring it.

Matboy, the 1 hour trip to the nearest beach is a real damper, after all that's where the hot babes are.

And to be fair to RB, everyone's experiences is different.

Hope to meet up with some of you guys, cheers.
