Hi guys

thought it was time to put the build up in a post. I brought this shell back in 2007 as a stripped out half roller no rear end with the thoughts of building an all out track car.

As it turns out after a few beers and researching numbers and just a weird feeling about this car and turns out to be a Nismo shell #32 that has been painted in japan bayside blue.

Since I found that out I decided to put it back to orginal condition with some power up mods etc.

The engine is stripped and parts have been ordered they are:

wiseco 86.5mm pistons

eagle forged rods

cometic gasket kit

kelford cams 272 duration 10.2mm lift

tomei cam gears

gates timing belt

DMD Tuning spec forged oil pump

DMD oil head drain

DMD baffled large capacity sump

DMD spec custom head port and polish

Surpertech stainless 1mm oversize valves

Surpertech double valve springs

Supertech titanium valve spring retainers

Supertech valve guides

Supertech buckets

Nismo 14411-06U00 orginal rebuilt turbo's

Nistune ecu tuned by DMD

Standard airbox with custom DMD ram air induction into stock airbox

R34 GTR intercooler (but will prob need an upgrade to 100mm)

Jim Berry Clutch

DMD modified standard AFM's or DMD's MAP to MAF convertor

Standard block as per Nismo orginal spec but cyro treated for stength

Arp bolt kit

JJR cooler pipt kit

JJR dump and front pipe

Apexi N1 exhaust cat back

Oil cooler yet to be decided

The car will be painted back to the orginal gun metal grey with the orginal N1 spec body kit.

Rims will be a month by month choice of either R32 GTR, custom bronze R33 GTR as what was on my R32 GTS4 or work XD9's 18x10 + 15 with the fatest rubber that will fit them.

Interior will remain pretty much bog stock apart from the flip out DVD touch screen head unit which will be showing our custom data logging info with every engine parameter hooked through the car pc.

Brand new standard gtr shocks will take duties of street and drag strip with a set of coilovers yet to be decided for track work. Super pro camber bushes for the front Noltec subframe bushes in the rear with standard rear bushes for the time being. DMD custom hicas lock bar setup and hub mod to be similar to group A spec setup.

Chrome Molly cams spec bolt in half cage will get bent up and installed with bare minimum bars for street and cross bars for the track.

Standard GTR brakes with upgraded pad DBA 4000 rotors cusco cylinder stopper martini high temp brake fluid and no abs as per nismo spec.

Larger rotor upgrade may happen for track work.

That's about all I can think of for the min I have got more pics somewhere of the car when I got it but here is a small taste of the car rolling and the engine in a million pieces on the bench dont mind the mess had to stack all the old parts up as lack of room for other work.

We have got the engine bay all painted and ready for the engine when it's built but haven't taken any pictures yet.

Hey mate

yeah the tomei buckets are nice and are actually a better price out of japan then what I can get out of the US.

The oil pump will be a forged set of N1 gears that I get CNC made up. I have a few contacts in the engineering world that do reverse engineering and they did it for a set of stock N1 gears. Will have new oil pressure relief sping set slightly higher.

Basically it will be very similar to the Nitto oil pump.

Also I think I forgot our own cylinder head drain I turned up on the lathe.

Hey Russ

how's things?? How's the old 32 going still hitting the track hard with it??

The specs can get very hazy on the Nismo edition but think of it as basically a N1 without the N1 block and in gun metal grey.

If you look at this link on wiki it tells you a lot.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R32_gtr

cool build man, gonna watch thsi progress

heres the quote from wiki on the nismo edition

"The Skyline GT-R 'Nismo', introduced in February 22, 1990, has a total production of 560 units as required for the "Evolution" models regulation (over 500). Its purpose is to homologate a number of aerodynamic changes used in Group A racing. Changes include additional ducts in the front bumper to improve airflow to the intercooler, a bonnet lip spoiler to direct more air into the engine bay, and an additional boot lip spoiler to provide more downforce. The 'Nismo' GT-R was only available in Gunmetal Grey."

Thanks mate

keep a close eye on it.

Ordered the cams today should be here Thursday

That's pretty much what they are got steel wheel turbos optional a/c no abs and rear wiper plus all the areo mods.

Forgot to add fuel system. Will ne Nismo 555cc injectors I picked these up a few years back for my GTS4. Nismo FPR standard fuel rail Bosch 023 700hp intake fuel pump. Very simple but effective. As some might know gibbson motorsport gtr's used these injectors with a standard rail but different pump setup and made a lazy 580hp with the same turbo's

Started the cylinder head drain last night still deciding what fitting size to use I'm leaning to dash 8 as it is smaller than what others using dash 10 but won't have the same drain capacity but will clear the firewall better
