Hi guys, have recently had my R33 GTST tuned a a reputable workshop in melbourne and im a little unsure of the behaviour whilst in 5th gear.

The car runs the following setup:

-Standard Turbo

-Splitfire Coils

-3inch turbo back exhaust including

-Power FC

-Front Mount Cooler

-z32 AFM

-Upgraded Walbro fuel pump

-Standard Injectors

Okay so the problem i have noticed occurs at high speed around 180km/h in 5th.

1. There is a beep/chime noise

2. The engine light flashes

3. Knock level on the Power FC Hand Controller reads quite high (around 80)

The injector duty cycle has never exceed 89%

The car behaves as it should in all gears up to this point, with acceptable knock levels.

Also on part throttle but on boost, the car feels sort of "surgey" but its ok and smooth when not on boost.

It does not have the 180km/h speed limiter anymore so is not related to this.

I have tried to contact the tuner about this but have not been able to get a reply.

I asked for a conservative (safe) tune suited to trackdays etc.

Any help or ideas on this would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers, Roh.
