Blitz Single Solenoid Vs Dual Solenoid

Hey guys,

Some relevant mods on the car:

Garrett GT3076R internally gated .82

3 inch exhaust with Cat

Blitz Single solenoid ebc

I had my car tuned a few months ago and the tuner couldnt get it to hold above 17 psi without spiking. Im wondering is this because of the single solenoid of my boost controller? Ive been told removing the cat will help in the boost spiking, and if this is true i will probably try that first. If not i will buy the spec r so i can run over 20psi as planned in the first place. What are your thoughts?

If you plan to run high boost (which you are) you should probably get the dual solenoid, use the gain function to help control any spiking.

The dual solenoid boost controller is the best unit on the market.

BUT if i was you to eliminate the boost controller fit a Turbotech (no other brand) bleed valve and test it, if the spike goes away it is your boost controller. I reckon it may be something else as i have a few customers running the single solenoid with no issues (yours could be shagged) joeyjoejunior runs the single on a gt2835 pro s without dramas.

Hmm don't think the controller would be shagged after 6 months use and I got it brand new. I'll try the turbotech idea first. Thanks Trent

Also Trent what boost did Hamish's boost controller holding? He isn't running a cat either so I'll try that too
