Hey guys

Does anyone know if 33 RB25DE and 33 RB25DET air flow meters are the same? I know there is a difference between s1 and s2 items. I've done a lot of searching throughout the forum and found both yes and no answers!

The engine we are working with is an s2 RB25DET (without the igniter module / non neo). We have access to both AFM's that we can try, but the car is currently away at a workshop having other work done :D Just want to eliminate an unrelated issue - and answer the question for future reference when users search.

Also – on topic of DE and DET part compatibility – would anyone know if the 33 25DE engine loom would be ok for use in a 25DET transplant? (not DE+t!)

I have read that the DE loom is missing a wire for pin 104 (FPCM), and of course boost solenoid. As the DE loom is missing the FPCM wire, will this have an effect on fuel pump behaviour, and in turn affect ECU and engine behaviour?

Keeping in mind the non turbo models don’t make use of this wire – is this a potential issue? Does the fuel pump or FPCM require a rewire? Loom modifications?

And lastly: A-LSD. Does anyone know if the R33’s with this option have a unique ECU to base models?
