VL Turbo with a R34 5 Speed Gear Box

Hey,

Just wondering has anyone had experience with a VL turbo running a skyline gear box and getting the orginal speedo to work. The VL speedo is manual(cable) and the skylines are electronic speedo's? Is this correct and has anyone got it to work.

i was under the impression that the 2 gearboxes had the same guts in them?
