That's right, anyone expecting to get anymore than $130,000 for an R35 is just kidding themselves. They were to expensive to begin with, the initial rush of purchases when new is over and the real cost of running/owning or novelty has worn off and they just can't be sold for what people are expecting.

The car was passed in at $123,000 however we negotiated it up a bit higher and as such the car is now sold. It did not sell for over $130,000.00

It really is a buyers market, almost every car went for substantially below what was expected. The Aston Martin went for $155,000, they were expecting closer to $180,000

Around $125,000 is where they should be at the moment. So the seller got market value and you paid a reasonable price. Well done to all.

everyone is forgetting there is a 3.3% auction fee, 4% or so transfer fee, + rego and whatever else you need so your looking at roughly over $10k for the transfer and auction fee ontop of sale + rego/inspection/green/pink slip/insurance, you did well @ $125k because I wouldn't pay more than $130k includeing all the associated fees, so in the sceme of things you did alright

I wont disclose it, but i will disclose that the million dollar 2 door taxi went for 350,000ish he was hoping for 3mil.

The 2door taxi got $295k, somehow the media got it at $305k?????? now after learning more about the car it shouldn't have been more than $150k, allot of us were under the assumption that because it had previously been registered and that it was meant to be a road going (baby) V8 supercar we thought it still could get rego.

Since learned it will never be able to get rego anywhere in australia, destined for the track as it really isn't sought after as a collectable now ( in conventional collectible standards cars that can not get rego never reach their full value), the finance company should have taken what they got from the Australian NBA basketballer who offered the most for it.

Hey yeah i was driving when my brother called me about the gtr going up. but yeah i realised i went a bit above  i asked about that car since i knew what they "thought" it would get..

Rubbish car that can't be registered, Typical Holden product, this car won the Bathurst 24hr even though all cars had to be production models

hahahhaha

lol. it wasn't me! to be honest I love the 427. one of my favourite cars. if I could afford it I'd consider it. probably wouldn't pay $300K for it though. maybe $180K? It's a pretty cool piece of gear.

such a shame they never got off the ground as a limited production model. I do agree though it was complete bullshit they were allowed to race it in the 24hr which states all cars must be available to the public to buy OR they can invite any car at the organisers discretion. so basically if they like you, you can bring any car you want.

Its not a 427 - its that one-off thing with some V8SC engine, and two seats, roll cage.

Guys, the time has unfortunately come for me to sell the R35, practically of kids and the number of km's I have been doing recently have made it impractical to keep.

Very regretful that it is being sold, but last thing I want is to be putting 30,000km a year on this car.

I have it listed at the Pickles Prestige Auction on the 7th June (Moore Park).

2009 Model

White

23,000km

Willal Mid Pipe.

3m Protective Film

I thought I would jump in before you guys spot it in the next couple of days when it lists.

I think i bought your car. was it sold with Willall Mid Pipe?

the car is doing great and now hit 30,000kms. Tranny and diff fluids got done recently with Willall fluids.

It was a production car.

The 427 that raced at Bathurst 24Hr, was bored, stroked, ran Corvette C5 heads and was a Monaro.

The HRT427 never went into full production, but the original 12 built for crash test purposes made it to Europe.

    • Do you think the guys in Penrith are install the E85 Kit?
    • Thanks Pac!   I will reach out to them!
    • Yes, but 2 things of the top of my head, 1. Legalities of nitrous on a street car. 2. No chop chop. I fully understand that there's much cheaper ways to make power, and whilst a wet 50 shot is fairly cheap to install, bottle fills are expensive, and bottles always need to be refilled, and nitrous also has its own inherent issues with reliability, and tuning, from my experience of others using nitrous, it doesn't take alot to lunch a engine real quick if something goes slightly wrong when spraying, if I wanted a big chunk of additional powers, a spooly boy would make alot more sense, disregarding the additional engineering, supporting mods and other logistical issues of sticking a spooly boy on a car that came naturally aspirated from factory  In the end I'm not racing for sheep stations, and I don't really care if people make more power, or are faster than me, or spend less, or more than me, the only thing the car needs to do is drive around and make me smile, which it is doing now Really, I just want a shiny new intake to look at when I'm cleaning the engine bay, and of course, some more induction doorts, and maybe even that 5kw for that elusive 200hp cherry on top that I might get If the FAB9 intake plenum, TB and air filter box thing doesn't eventuate for whatever reason, Plasmaman do one, not as fancy looking, and a fair chunk of more cash is required when including the TB and other bits and pieces that are required to install it, but, it is another option that is available to me if FAB9 one does fall down (but I really, really.....really, want the FAB9 one though) TL;DR. You want what you want
