M35 Reverse Beeping

How can I kill the reverse beeping sound? Its driving me nuts.

I am about to pull out my radio and thought I might be able to cut the wire or something along those lines.

Any help is much appreciated.

On mine, the indicator ticking sound stops when reversing - so if you cut a wire it's likely you'll lose the indicator sounds also.

That beeper also sounds if you leave the keys in or the lights on.

there is probably some sensor in the shifter that could be cut or tricked. Have a look in the V35 workshop manual....would be the same wiring.

I'm keeping mine because it annoy's the wife......and thats a good thing

Im aware theirs a wire to cut in auto r33's and c34's ect to remove the reversing beep its around the incabin fuse box.

god knows what it is on a M35

i have to admit. it does seem kind of pointless.

as if i didn't know i was already moving backwards.!

you'd think so but the amount of people iv seen take off backwards at the drags is ridiculous, after going over the staging lights they reverse back and dont put it back in first or D makes me LOL every time.

i saw a dumbass do this at the lights. (traffic lights) and back into the car behind.

to answer your original question - yep there is a reverse feed back there. clipping it on these cars though will screw with the display. leave it there and ignore it.

find the beeper and see if you stuff some blue tak in it to muffle the sound.

Can't say I've noticed it. I know for sure it beeps once when I put it in reverse, and the reverse camera fires up on screen...but I don't recall hearing any further beeps. Maybe with the factory reverse camera the beeps are disabled?

Nope, they're there. I have the factory reverse camera and the thing beeps at me constantly when in reverse.

Doesn't really bother me though, I mean it is only beeps and it is not like I drive to work in reverse

i got no reverse camera or sensors.. tho it beeps for as long as i am in reverse gear which kinda sucks cause my driveway is long and it wakes up my kid in the back

lol...I know the pain...just hum to yourself while reversing....then you cannot hear it!
