hey all,

im new to the forums here and new to owning a skyline but ill try to make it tonight. probably not for dinner but deffinitly for the meeting! Lookign foward to it!

Was nice to meet you Matt, your R33 is a nice one - Kakimoto exhaust looks and sounds nice and subtle. Eastern FWY boosting ftw :ninja:

bells hotel has improved their menu quite a lot and they now do flavoured parma's

better food and more options for those interested

I didn't even finish half the chiips.

Bullshit odds on the door prize lol :( I drive a thirsty V8 so the fuel voucher could have come in handy :laugh:

I think Mick rigged it :P

They still need to bring back my mate Kiev, that shit was the best when they used to have it on the menu.

Prolly should try the parma next time. And Birds, they still gave you your salad, and they gave me sauce with the steak. The sauce helped, since it was overdone, but then again, it wasn't too bad. Pretty damn filling.

I've been on and off the forums here for a couple years, but finally invested in an r33 gtst so i'll be looking to get more involved. When's the next one?!

They are usually on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, so most likely on the 15th of June but keep your eyes on the Victorian section and a thread will be posted closer to the date.

Definitely come along next time - if you're in the east and want to cruise in with someone give us a hoy.

Alv + Matt, thinking we should get some sort of east side mini cruises to these things going :)

I'm in the West but will keep my eye out for any upcoming cruises/events.

And looks like I might have to give training a miss in mid-June :D

I was pretty hungry, i was full after the steak, and now i'm hungry again.

Was that the Porter House Steak?

If so, I had that last time when I was there.

It was awesome!

They do have a very good selection of food.

      Excuse me, but 2) does apply 1) Would also apply if you consider how much is spent in the alternatives. Also there's the option of 3), buy one pre-built that you can put your family in (it's me, it's my car)   That said, I went on a ~500km drive the other day. I didn't use anything more adventurous than 3rd/4th gear at about ~3000RPM and 50% throttle and I was going as fast as anyone has any sense doing on a public road, with enough grip to the point where I didn't want to go any faster. I was obviously under the limit of the current car etc etc. MX5 with 2.5 N/A to achieve the same speed would be more fun for any road scenario. Maybe consider cams. I wouldn't boost it. The use case is just not there and it won't actually make the car more enjoyable unless you really do plan on wringing gears from 1st to 3rd (at least) at 100% WOT on a public road to 150+kmh.

Lived in a country where you could actually do this and drive it legally on the road Sadly, neither applies to me As for the turbo, I am having second thoughts, mainly for engineering/registration legality reasons and insurance  Not saying I've finished doing stupid things that I probably should do to the MX5, but boost, and V8 engine swaps isn't on the cards Strange, but true

      Yes shipping here can be a pain, was about to purchase timing belt replacement kit, but it tends to get expensive due to shipping (and customs if importing from non-EU which the UK now falls under).
