Hi all , sorry if this has been covered but did not have time to read this whole section .

Basically I was getting a blue slip to change the engine number in my old Subaru and asked the person doing the inspection if the RB30 in an R33 was a straightforward thing .

He said yes the weight of a RWD R33 makes the 3L conversion a formality provided the rest is as std .

Is this what others have found doing this swap in NSW ?

if he will pass it brilliant, but the rules state 15% increase in capacity without an engineers report. thats what the RTA have told me.

if you are still running stock everything except have an RB30 block they might let it slide seeing as the RB26 + 15% = 2990cc, but as soon as you have an ecu or boost controller of any sort its an auto fail.
