My Trust Pe2 Spl (video)

Measured myself today not sure i was doing it correct but you can see in the video.

I'm getting about 88dBA @ 4600rpm. So i assume at 4800rpm it'd be close to 90dBA.

I thought this might be useful for your reference.

Measured using altronics Q1264 SPL meter.

Setup:

dBA weighting

Hi level

Fast reponse

45 degrees approx

0.5m from exhaust tip

is that the real measurements and distance of a real test? i only ask because when i had to get mine tested last year the guy had it way closer than that with me.

they hold the MIC much closer to the exhaust when doing the noise test for EPA.. I had the stock exhaust on my car and it read 89dB so i doubt the PE2 will pass even though its relatively quiet. Very nice video tho!

cheapo xforce 3" cat

they hold the MIC much closer to the exhaust when doing the noise test for EPA.. I had the stock exhaust on my car and it read 89dB so i doubt the PE2 will pass even though its relatively quiet. Very nice video tho!

Nice to see that, ive got the same trust pe2 catback as well, except i have the front segment done too so i guess mine would be a tiny bit louder
